Nestor Gahe

Yahi Nestor Gahe is a choreographer, dancer, actor and puppeteer. He has worked with numerous directors and choreographers such as André Heller (Austria), Georges Momboye (Ivory Coast), Edith Koerber (Germany), Rainer Kittel (Germany). He studied at the Faculty of Arts in the University of Strasbourg and at the national school of Theatre and Dance in Abidjan. Yahi Nestor Gahe is rooted both in African dances as well as in contemporary dance. With his broad experience in many traditional dances of sub-Saharan Africa, he developed a new theory of "African dance" based on the perception of the body.
