Kristina Grigorova

Born in Bulgaria, Kristina Grigorova started studying classical dance at the ballet school of the Opera House Sofia. Having moved to Italy in 1982, she continued her studies at the National Academy of Rome under Margarita Trayanova. Apart from dancing, she also studied piano. In 1986, she joined the ballet company of the Opera of Rome where she performed in numerous solo and prima ballerina roles. Later, she became part of the corps de ballet of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano. Since 1996, she has been with the dance compagnie Maggio Danza of the Teatro Comunale di Firenze. She has also been working as an instructress for classical dance and repertoire for several years now and is part of examination boards and competition juries.
