Tobi Voli

In his home country, Tobi Voli is a famous drummer, who has played in almost all of the great ensembles from the Côte d’Ivoire. Since 1999 he has made France his home, where he also works with many great artists familiar to the Tanzfestival Bielefeld: Hughes Anoi, Geraldine Armstrong, and Rick Odums. 

“Tobi”, as he is called, is in great demand as a teacher, and he holds workshops on a regular basis at the Mamady Keita School in Belgium, the “Djembè School” in The Netherlands as well as at festivals worldwide.

For the course with Tobi, participants must bring their own drum.
