Shang-Chi Sun

Born in Taiwan, the dancer and choreographer Shang-Chi Sun received his dance training in Ballet and Contemporary Dance at the National Academy of Arts in Taipei and is a graduate of the Ernst Busch Schule (Berlin) with a Master of Arts in Choreography. He works with several companies; Sasha Waltz & Guest, Nürnberg Dance Theatre, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan, Balleto Teatro Di Turino and Cie. Toula Limnaios.

In 2001, he founded his own company “Shang Chi Move” and choreographed many performances. His shows are regularly on tour in Europe and Asia. In the performance programme of our festival, he will perform his piece “Traverse”. He conveys his skills at workshops at various international festivals.
