Mamadou Diabaté

Born in Abidjan, Mamadou's extraordinary talent attracted attention early as a young solo dancer in the Ivory Coast National Ballet. He has performed with dance companies worldwide (Japan, France, Italy, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, Tunisia...) and has worked with many well-known choreographers, such as Jean Claude Gallota.

Madou Diabaté presently resides in Mali and France, where he coaches in numerous ateliers and actively promotes African Dance in all its multi-facetted forms. Utilizing his unlimited energy and wit, he communicates the entire bandwidth of traditional African Dance.

Madou Diabaté joined the Tanzfestival Bielefeld 2010 as instructor.
