Gilda Rebello was born in Rio de Janeiro, where she studied dance, classical voice and theatre. In Germany she continued her education at the Folkwang Universität in Essen. For four years, she was a member of the Folkwang Tanzstudio under Pina Bausch’s direction, and she was often a guest in her company Tanztheater Wuppertal. Between January and May 2015, she is i.a. directing the training and rehearsals for the Jan Pusch Co. at the Staatstheater Braunschweig and guest teacher at the NRW Juniorballet and the Deutsche Berufsverband für Tanzpädagogik. She has danced several principal solo roles at the Theater Dortmund (i.a. „Maria de Buenos Aires“ and „Kuss der Spinnenfrau“.

In 2004 she received her Peak Pilates instructor certificate. As a singer and composer, she is involved, i.a., in the creation of the CD „Metropol Cinema“ by Alien Cafe and of „Swing Patrol“ by Tape Five, a group she went on a worldwide tour with. As a choreographer, she worked, i.a., at the Bayreuth Festival and Theater Kassel. She enjoys applying the diversity of her career in her classes.
